Jamie Keener, Veterinary Technician

Jamie Keener
Veterinary Technician

Jamie graduated from the SPC Veterinary Technician program in 2009. With 15 years of experience she has been able to advance her knowledge of veterinary medicine, critical care, and surgical nursing. She started in a small private practice but eventually found a love for emergency medicine. Jamie has spent the last 10 years working overnights in busy emergency and referral hospitals. During this time she found a passion for surgical nursing and ensuring the safety of all patients during anesthetic procedures.

Jamie is a Florida native and enjoys all that Florida has to offer with her husband, son, 3 dogs and 2 cats. She loves the beach, photography, and going to Busch Gardens. On the weekends you will find Jamie and her husband on the soccer or football field cheering on their son and his team.

A lover of literature, she often unwinds with a good book, cherishing the quiet moments spent with her fiancé and furry companions.

Cris Miller

Cris has been a dedicated veterinary technician since 2014. Her career began in general practice, but she quickly discovered her passion for specialty services. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience working in various departments, including Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Emergency Medicine, and Surgery. She is particularly drawn to specialty surgeries, where she finds fulfillment in guiding clients and their pets through the surgical process, monitoring anesthesia, and providing direct support to the doctor during procedures.

Originally from Brazil, she moved to Florida in 2009. She's an early riser and starts her mornings at the CrossFit gym—it energizes her and keeps her balanced for the long days ahead. When she's not working, she enjoy long runs, paddleboarding, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. At home, she cherishes quality time with her husband and their two loving boxers, Emma and Norma.
